　　Ultimately, the goal of the port information portal is to improvedata-flow between cargo owners, shipping lines and otherstakeholders so that port and terminal operators have an extendedwindow of time to track inbound cargo to more effectively servicevessels, optimize cargo movement and improve the predictability andreliability of the supply chain. Port and cargo stakeholdersmanually tested this advance exchange of data during thelargest-ever container ship call last December.
